29 Apr Sun Sentinel: $10M Bear’s Club home puts you among the stars
Want to live just a chip shot away from basketball legend Michael Jordan, tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams and golf pros Luke Donald, Ernie Els and Michelle Wie?
A 17,000-square-foot estate in a renowned golf community is on the market for $10 million, and moving in means more than just fancy new digs.
“It really is a special place,” said Billy Nash, who is serving as the listing agent for The Keyes Company’s Nash Group.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion, at Bear’s Club, in Jupiter, showcases Tuscan-inspired architecture.
The home also has touches that will please art aficionados.
Marie Feldman, the estate’s owner, is an avid art collector and designed the home to include ample display space for artwork. Custom wall niches, vaulted ceilings and decorative wall sconces give paintings an ideal setting and proper lighting.
“(The) hallways throughout the estate were designed to resemble the fine art galleries you find in the most recognized museums in the world,” Nash said.
The formal living room reveals the craftsmanship and creativity the homeowners used when designing the home. Among the details: hand-carved statues bordering the fireplace, a crystal chandelier and custom furnishings and draperies.
At 2,200 square feet, the master suite offers separate sitting areas, a hydrotherapy bath tub overlooking the courtyard and golf course, a steam room/sauna and a grand walk-in closet roughly the size of a small suite.
The gourmet chef’s kitchen comes equipped with a butler’s pantry, a catering area and a 500-bottle, temperature-controlled wine cabinet.
Outdoor features include multiple loggias with fireplaces, a large summer kitchen, cabana bath and oversized pool and spa.
The Bear’s Club has a one-year waiting list for membership, but Nash said the new homeowners will be moved to the top of the list. Once accepted, they will beable to use some of the club’s amenities and, of course, the golf course.
